Activity 3.5. Physical and sport event in Romania 19-24 August 2018 and 23 November 2018 

SE POATE Association organized 2 sport events in Bucharest, Romania.

The first sport event through B.O.N.D.S. project took place in Bucharest in August 19-24, 2018 and the 2nd sport event was organized in 23rd November 2018.

 

We are looking forward to foster active citizenship through encouragement of participation in sport, physical activity and volunteering activity among citizens of all ages.

We want to inspire a new way in perceiving sports, movement for fun as in our daily events “Bucharest Walking Tour” - getting to know Bucharest by walking.

Through this event we want to impact all the participants and also raise awareness regarding the capacity of practicing sports in all sort of environments.

 

1ST SPORT EVENT - BUCHAREST, 19-24 AUGUST 2018

19TH August – Arrival Day

Arrival to Bucharest and accommodation of foreign partners, Ibis Parliament Hotel 

20:00: Meeting in the lobby of the hotel. Project partners meeting.

 

20TH August – 2nd day

Welcome and introduction with the special guests from the field of sport: Loredana Dinu and Narcisa Lecusanu.

Opening conference: official start of the event. Presence of press. Gathering all teams at Ibis Parliament Hotel to present the event and to share presentation material and personalized materials for participants, questionnaires.

Seminar: sporting activity for each of us – discuss chosen health themes of each team. Short presentation of health themes and nutrition.

23TH August – 5th day

Seminar: sporting activity for each of us- discuss chosen health themes of each team. Different types of sport activities – coordinators: project manager. Conducting the survey to the participants by applying and completing the questionnaires. Debating the activities done during this event.

 

24TH August – 6th day

Ceremony for ending event and drafting of future plans on photo walking tours on a stadium in Bucharest. Sharing final dissemination materials, questionnaires and photos.


 

2ND SPORT EVENT - 23RD NOVEMBER 2018 LET’S DO SPORT TOGETHER

The second sport event through B.O.N.D.S. project took place in Bucharest, on 23 of November, 2018.

The 85 participants in the sport event started their activities with a presentation about the benefits of different types of physical activities, nutrition and received recommendations regarding best ways to introduce sport activity into daily life.

After the interactive discussion with the sport teachers, the participants started sport activities: basketball games, rope jumping, sport games with circles and tennis balls, coordination and agility drills, ball exercises.

 

23rd November

MEDICINE BALL EXERCISES

Required materials: 2 medicine balls of 2 kg

Participants: groups of 2 participants

1. Description: Throwing the medicine ball with two hands from the chest

Purpose: Development of upper body muscles, especially upper limbs

2. Description: Throwing the medicine ball with two hands above your head

Purpose: Development of the upper train muscles, especially the back limbs (paravertebral musculature).

 

BASKETBALL EXERCISES

Required materials: 5 basketball balls

1. Throw the ball with two hands from above

2. Throw the ball to the basket by dribbling

 

EXERCISES WITH JUMP ROPE

Required materials: 6 jump ropes

Participants: groups of 6 participants

1. Description: jump with the rope

Purpose: development of lower limb muscles and developing coordination.

 

EXERCISES WITH CYCLE AND TENNIS BALL

Required materials: 6 gymnastics circles, 6 tennis balls

Participants: 12

Description: Two participants positioned on either side of a gym circle, execute the assault with the ground, the ball touching the ground inside the circle. It is executed alternately with both the right and the left hand.

Purpose: development of ocular and manual coordination.

 

RELAY RACE X AND 0

Required Materials: 9 small gymnastics circles and 6 copets, different colors (eg 3 yellow and 3 blue)

Participants: 6

Description: The participants are placed in 2 columns of 3 rows, each with a copet in hand. In front of them, at a distance of 5 meters are placed 9 gymnastic circles. When receiving the signal, the first line runs out and places the copet inside a circle, runs to the end of the string by tapping the next participant in his team. Each team attempts to form three successive horizontal, vertical or diagonal lines. The winner will be the team that forms the first line.

Purpose: development of reactive speed and coordination in space and time.

 

THE BALL GOES TO THE CAPTAIN

Required materials: a basketball ball

Description: participants are seated in the circle and in the middle is the "captain". The player inside the circle passes the ball to each player from one to one, then from 2 to 2, from 3 to 3, etc.

Purpose: development of dexterity and attention.

 

COORDINATION AND AGILITY DRILLS

Required materials: ladder, lines

Description: The participants run through the ladder, taking two steps in every box. The left foot leads. The right foot follows the movement of the left foot.

 

Purpose: Coordination and agility drills will help you to improve your footwork, agility and coordination and will give you that quick burst of speed.
